Sinopsis
Bea, a young woman trapped in the darkness of a deep depression, escapes her routine to volunteer at the Lourdes sanctuary. What begins as a silent escape becomes a transformative journey when she meets Laura, a woman with cerebral palsy who has been returning to the sanctuary for thirty years in search of a healing that never comes.
Through these two wounded souls, "The Gesture of Water" reveals that the true miracle of Lourdes is not found in the supernatural or the physical, but in the human capacity to accompany, listen, and heal from the invisible. An intimate and moving story that questions the meaning of faith, hope, and redemption from a deeply human place.

The viewer will also witness the history of the sanctuary through three characters: Alessandro de Franciscis, the doctor at the sanctuary's Medical Constation Office; Chelo Feral, a journalist at the sanctuary; and Bernadette Moriau, the 70th and last living miracle of Lourdes.
